Accra Hearts of Oak Reportedly Fined Due To...

Hearts of Oak have allegedly been fined $5,000 by Confederation Football African (CAF) for facilitating their keep going Champions League match on a 'awful pitch'.

The Phobians, in the main passing round, facilitated Guinean side CI Kamsar in a solitary leg match played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, September 19.

In any case, it is said that CAF were not satisfied with the condition of the pitch and have fined the Ghanaian bosses.

Hearts dominated the game 2-0 with objectives from Kofi Kordzi and Salim Adams as of now to book their spot in the following round of the opposition.

Their compensation for beating the Guinean side is a conflict with Moroccan heroes Wydad Casablanca.

Hearts will have the principal leg in Accra yet following the revealed fine, the Phobians need to deal with working on the pitch.

The match is booked for October 15 with the return leg on October 22 in Casablanca.

The victor will progress to the gathering stage while the washout gets an opportunity in the CAF Confederation Cup.
